Hello! I'm Paddy Lynch, a cartoonist, illustrator and graphic designer from Dublin, Ireland.

I like to make drawings and images that tell stories and communicate ideas.

Books and comics I have illustrated include: Big Jim (with Rory McConville 2013, the O'Brien Press), My Last Day at 17 (with Doug DuBois, 2015, Aperture Foundation) and my comics series Last Bus (Cardboard Press). I run the monthly Dublin Comic Jam, and publish other folks' zines and comics under the Cardboard Press imprint.

Let's work together!

New story preview, Thought Bubble blog

Posted by

I’ve just finished a new 4 page story for (the ever industrious) Cliodhna Lyons’ upcoming anthology which is being prepared in time for this years Irish 24 hour Comic Day. It looks like she’s putting on a first rate event this year with Childrens Books Ireland making it part of their Childrens Book Festival. Anyway I’m only posting a very small exerpt because I don’t want to spoil anything before the actual comic comes out. I really enjoyed the inking on this one going back to the  grey-tone styles of Last Bus, which incidentally, I have actually started drawing pages for the second issue. Finally.

28thaugust-2In other news, the folks over at the Thought Bubble Festival in Leeds ran a nice blogpost on me in their “Friends of Thought Bubble” series. Thanks guys. Thought Bubble is a top class UK convention with a lot of love for the independent/small press scene. You should go if you get the chance.
